Candy is one of those fine little mini mares that makes a wonderful pet and an even better teacher for little boys. Candy loves being brushed, eating apples, and rolling in the soft grass. Candy is a very bright little pony that very cleverly can work her way through electric fensse without getting shocked most of the time. She also likes lots of green grass. She enjoys teasing the big horses. She enjoys nice big jucie carrots. She likes plums or pears as well. She even like the leaves on fruit trees occasionally.
Candy became an object for photographers this summer when she took trips in the back of the pickup. First to Coboy Campmeeting where she was favored with lots of kids to give pony rides. She then had the opportunity to go to to Spokane for a Vacation Bible School. She enjoys riding in the truck because she can see things. When she is in the horse trailer she can't see anything but the walls. She is to short to see out the windows.
Candy is very tolerent of the boys and has been wonderful for giving them rides and allowing herself to be pulled around by the boys from place to place. She came home in the mini van which I have no pictures of but it was quite a site. She is a tad to big for it though.
Candy reminds me of Gods forgiveness and long suffering. She is very forgiving of all the children who love her a little roughly at times. Ephesians 4:32 "And be kind to one anther, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you." NKJV I have a wonderful book about a shetland that used to go to shows in the back of a station wagon. It is called Rattletrap Rosie.
Candy loves being brushed and puts more of a coat on then I remember our shetlands ever wearing in winter. She has hair at least three inches long. She is smaller then our pony Twinkles was but every bit as nice. Just for nestalga I included a picture of Twinkles for you all at the bottom.
