Horses have been a wonderful Part of my life for many years.
My desire with this site is to help others who enjoy horses. I want this to be a fun place to visit. I want people to find good things for themselves. I want them to find good things for their horses as well.
I grew up with a veterinarian for a neighbor. He was wonderful about showing me the cases that ended up coming home to his place. He even took me out on rounds once. I used to clean stalls for his wife who took me to my very first horse show. She had a very hot Quarter Horse Stallion that I remember being a little afraid of. She was very practical and worked really hard. I enjoyed the times I got to spend with them.
My first pony was a wonderful grey dappled shetland. She was as good natured as any horse I have ever known. You could do anything on her and though she was 20 something when we got her she was willing to carry us all over the country side. She gave rides safely to all of our friends and provided hours of fun. Twinkles was truely amazing. I will ever be grateful to the Powels who gave her to us after their children had outgrown her.
